Audinate Dante Technology Now Integrated in Over 1,000 Commercially Available Products

Audinate confirmed key adoption milestones for its industry-leading Dante media networking technology at ISE 2017. Dante is now integrated in over 1,000 commercially available products, and licensed to over 350 manufacturers, an increase of 75 since this time last year. Recent licensees span a broad spectrum of markets, including installed sound, live sound, broadcast, transportation and CEDIA, and include notable brands such as Beyerdynamic, Clear-Com, JBL, Lawo, Panasonic, Riedel, Sony and more.

At the 2017 Winter NAMM Show in Anaheim, Shure introduced an important new solution to its portfolio or wireless microphones with the GLX-D Advanced Digital Wireless products and accessories. The suite of GLX-D products offers increased channel count, solid RF performance, and expanded automatic frequency management for install applications. Shure also introduced new VHF frequency bands its ULX-D and QLX-D Digital Wireless Systems and launched a new wireless information resource center.

Shure introduced the SE215m+ Special Edition (SE215m+SPE) Sound Isolating Earphones, now molded with a white and gray finish, with integrated mobile communications capability and supporting Apple iOS devices. The new SE215m+SPE earphones feature a three-button communication pod that enables users to control device playback, volume, and the sending/receiving of calls. It also includes a microphone for phone calls and voice control apps.

The new Shure IH6500 Interpreter Headset was designed for professional interpreters who prefer an integrated headset, providing better speech intelligibility, comfortable fit, and multiple connectivity options for use in multi-language meetings and conferences. The dual-sided headset has removable ear pads, allowing for convenient cleaning, and also features a flexible gooseneck microphone boom that pivots 270 degrees. Winners in 31st technical and creative achievement categories were announced at the 31st Annual NAMM TEC Awards. The award ceremony was held on Saturday, January 23 during the NAMM Show in Anaheim, CA. As always, the important thing is to be nominated, since the TEC Award categories combine products which are very hard to compare and, most of the time, the winners reflect the popularity of the brand.

Shure Updates its ShurePlus MOTIV Mobile Recording App for iOS

Shure released a new version of its ShurePlus MOTIV Mobile Recording App, designed for use with the company’s MOTIV Digital Condenser Microphones. Version 1.1 of this iOS app offers a host of new features, including five-band EQ and gain adjustment controls for the MV51 Digital Large-Diaphragm Condenser Microphone, the MV5 Digital Condenser Microphone, and MVi Digital Audio Interface.
