Once again, Danish brand sensation CANVAS HiFi absolutely dominated IFA 2025, repeating its outstanding location at the Berlin Messe and showcasing continuously its products to industry professionals, distributors, retailers, press, and the general attendance during the weekend. For this year, Laust Nielsen, the company’s co-founder and CEO, introduced a new project in collaboration with Samsung, the world’s largest TV manufacturer, and launched a signature project with Danish artist Carsten Beck.

High End Show 2025: It Was a Great Run

High End Audio Meets the Future. From May 15-18, audioXpress attended the 42nd edition of the High End show. The 2025 edition of High End was vibrant, exciting and full of new interesting things to discover. And it was also the last one in Munich. This article details our impressions of a show that will be remembered very fondly by all participants and attendees, with every corner of the MOC Event Center Messe München sold out. Next year, the High End show is moving from Germany to Austria.

Test Bench: SB Acoustics Satori MR16TX-8 TPCD 6.5" Midrange

The 6.5" MR16TX-8 TPCD Midrange from SB Acoustics' prestige Satori line targets hifi and high-end audio applications, and expands the company's already significant investment in TPCD Textreme diaphragms. The cone assembly consists of a curvilinear inverted single piece, "bowl" shaped TPCD cone, glued to an inverted NBR surround, with the remaining compliance coming from a flat BIMAX spider. The motor is an FEA-optimized neodymium magnet and a 1.4" voice coil with a nonconducting fiberglass former.

Test Bench: The New 7.5” MT19CP-8 Coincident Coaxial Driver from the SB Acoustics Satori Line

The new 7.5" coaxial driver from SB Acoustics' prestigious Satori line is built on a rather stylish aluminum-cast frame, totally open below the spider, with a cone featuring SB's proprietary Egyptian Papyrus material with a three-roll coated cloth-type surround, driven with a 1.52" diameter voice coil and neodymium magnet. The 1" tweeter is comprised of a coated cloth-type dome diaphragm, powered by a neodymium motor, which incorporates a resonant back chamber design.

This latest MR13TX-4 midrange from SB Acoustics is part of the fast-growing Satori line of high-end transducers. A dedicated 5" midrange driver, the MR13TX-4 is the 10th TPCD TeXtreme diaphragm transducer to be featured in Test Bench. In terms of features, the MR13TX-4 is built on a proprietary two-piece cast-aluminum frame, completely open below the BIMAX spider for cooling. The cone assembly consists of a curvilinear inverted single piece "bowl" shaped TeXtreme cone and an inverted NBR surround, driven by a 1.2" diameter voice coil and a neodymium motor.

This midbass woofer is the latest product from SB Acoustics to feature a Composite Sound Thin-ply Carbon Diaphragm (TPCD) cone and another significant product from its Satori Line of high end drivers. The SB Acoustics WO24TX-4 Satori features a curvilinear inverted single piece “bowl” shaped TPCD cone.
