QSC Now Shipping Two New AcousticDesign and AcousticCoverage Installation Loudspeakers

QSC announced it is now shipping the AD-P.HALO, an integrated SUB/SAT pendant loudspeaker system, and the AC-C2T-LP, a low-profile ceiling-mount full range loudspeaker. Both models are designed to simplify installation for background music and voice-reinforced environments. Meanwhile, the Costa Mesa, CA company also launched its QSC@Home initiative, a comprehensive online resource dedicated to online training, certification and entertainment.

The Audio Engineering Society (AES) has been named a recipient of a Technical & Engineering Emmy Award for “Development of Synchronized multi-channel uncompressed audio transport over IP Networks” by the National Academy of Television Arts & Sciences (NATAS). The 71st annual Technical & Engineering Emmy Awards will be presented in a special ceremony at the upcoming NAB Show at the Wynn Encore Hotel on Sunday, April 19, 2020, in Las Vegas, NV.

Supporting the AV industry’s shift from purpose-built hardware to software-based solutions running on standardized hardware, Audinate announced two new software-based Dante networking products. Dante Embedded Platform enables manufacturers to add full Dante functionality in software running on Linux for x86 and ARM processors. ISE 2019: Networks Expanded. Audio, Video, Control, and More.

During my time at the Integrated Systems Europe (ISE) 2019 show, I looked closely at how companies are dealing with the transition to IP networks, how prevalent some proprietary technologies still are in commercial installation and AV in particular (e.g., HDBaseT), and how manufacturers are introducing new products and concepts to integrate those networked systems, in particular those protocols that support AES67 audio and the latest SMPTE ST-2110 suite of standards in general.
