Samson Launches Satellite USB/iOS Microphone with Three Selectable Pickup Patterns

Mobile accessories brand Belkin announced a new 3.5 mm Audio Cable with Lightning Connector which allows iPhone users to connect directly to the car stereo or home speakers with a single cable. AudioControl is now shipping the new SA-4140i hi-SPL measurement microphone for the iPhone. With the new microphone and the AudioControl Mobile Tools app, users are able to check SPL up to 140 dBA and analyze the acoustics of any environment, including visualizing the acoustical spectrum. The new package includes the improved microphone, clip holder, windscreen. The Mobile Tools iOS all is available on the App Store and includes SPL Meter, RTA, FFT, DQ Alignment, and Polarity.

Bowers & Wilkins announced the P9 Signature, according to the brand, “its best sounding and most luxurious headphones to date.” Conceived to celebrate Bowers & Wilkins 50th anniversary and deliver a superior audio experience with “precision at high frequencies and astonishing bass,” the P9 Signature headphones are engineered by the same team responsible for the 800 D3 loudspeaker, and are Bowers & Wilkins’ largest over-ear headphone.

OPPO Digital introduced an updated version of its HA-2 portable headphone amplifier and DAC, the HA-2SE. The digital-to-analog converter (DAC) chip was upgraded to the ES9028Q2M, the top-of-the-line from ESS Technology’s SABRE32 Reference series for portable designs. The headphone amplifier is now also further optimized for very sensitive In-Ear Monitors, with a lower noise floor and higher signal-to-noise ratio over the HA-2.

Audeze launched its first in-ear headphones with planar magnetic technology, leveraging all the technology of its LCD series, including patented Fluxor magnets and Fazor waveguides. The new iSINE Series models range in price from only $399 to $599, including Audeze’s Lightning cable. For the new in-ear headphones, Audeze worked closely with BMW’s DesignworksUSA, designing housings that minimize reflections and diffractions and to ensure a comfortable, secure fit, in a smaller, lighter package. At 20 grams, these are the lightest planar headphones so far.
