Test Bench of the HF142 1.4” neodymium motor compression driver with the LTH142 60° × 50° horn, from Italian pro sound OEM FaitalPRO. Features for the HF142 include a ketone polymer diaphragm, with proprietary perforated suspension for acoustic tuning and a Finite Element Analysis (FEA) modeled and optimized four-slot annular phase plug. This month’s Test Bench samples came from a premier Italian Pro Sound OEM driver manufacturer. From Faital Pro, I received the HF108R compression driver coupled with a LTH102 60° × 50° horn. The HF108R is the latest in Faital Pro’s series of Ketone Polymer diaphragm 1” compression drivers. I reviewed the HF108 compression driver in April 2015, and included some data on the HF108R. The new 10HX230 and 12HX230 coaxial drivers stand next to the also recently added 8XH230 8" coaxial model, which expanded the brand's catalogue.
