RME Introduces HDSPe AoX Series PCIe Interface Cards and AD/DA Converter for High Channel Count Audio Networking

RME announced its latest HDSPe AoX series 4x PCI Express interface cards to connect very large numbers of audio channels on audio networks. The HDSPe AoX cards combine dual networking ports with headphone output, AES3, MIDI, and internal expansion headers for up to four MADI ports. RME also announced its new M-1620 Pro AD/DA converter with 16 analog line levels to and from digital, and separate Coax and SFP MADI, ADAT digital sources. Both systems are available in Dante and AVB models.

PreSonus, now a Fender brand, launched a new line of audio interfaces, available in four models: Quantum ES 2, Quantum ES 4, Quantum HD 2, and Quantum HD 8. These four models are designed to empower creators with newly-redesigned MAX-HD preamps, class-leading converters, front-facing instrument inputs, and more high-performance specifications suitable for musicians, home studios and professionals.

RME launched the Fireface UCX II, the successor of its popular and long-lasting Fireface UCX professional audio recording interface. Featuring 40 I/O channels, the new Fireface UCX II updates the former solution in a compact half-rack size. All inputs or outputs of the Fireface UCX II can be recorded directly to a USB storage device. Celebrating the company's 25th anniversary, the new UCX II is also introduced as representing 25 years of RME innovation in a cutting-edge interface for flexible use in studios and live performances.

During the 2015 NAMM Show in Anaheim, CA, Focusrite surprised with an expansion of its range of affordable audio interfaces, this time with Thunderbolt connectivity. The new Clarett units are said to be the “fastest Thunderbolt interfaces in the world” by the British manufacturer.
