Waves Audio Introduces SoundGrid Connect at 141st AES in Los Angeles

Digital signal processing solutions specialists, Waves Audio announced the introduction of SoundGrid Connect, a game-changing feature of its SoundGrid driver. With SoundGrid Connect, users can connect any ASIO/Core Audio-compatible audio interface to SoundGrid technology and dramatically boost the capacity of their system – run hundreds of plugins simultaneously, stream audio, record and mix from multiple computers and DAWs at the same time, and more.

Audinate, the company responsible for the Dante audio networking technology, has announced the immediate worldwide availability of Dante Via version 1.1, a major update to its audio networking software. With the update, Audinate increased audio networking application support to 16x16 channels, and added ASIO device support, adjustable source mixes and new Device Lock protection.

Lawo’s new virtual soundcard application, JADE VSC, is now available. The software enables Windows-based audio applications to fully integrate with AoIP networks without any external hardware interfaces. JADE VSC provides 64 channels of bi-directional RAVENNA and true AES67 streaming, features integrated sample rate conversion and a VST plug-in interface allowing to combine effects.

Swiss manufacturer Merging Technologies confirms its new high-quality consumer D/A converter, NADAC, will be introduced at the High End Show in Munich on May 14. Following its success with the Horus and Hapi networked audio interfaces for professional applications, Merging is leveraging its technology also for the consumer market.

exaSound Audio Design announced the introduction of the model e12 stereo digital–to–analog converter. This lower cost exaSound digital–to–analog converter was designed to address the needs of high resolution audio playback, from DSD to DXD master files, including custom ASIO drivers, developed in–house for highest performance.

Waves Audio had much to show at the 137th AES Convention in Los Angeles, including many news to share regarding their plug-in range. But the focus for the company’s presence was undoubtedly their studio and live sound range of solutions, with continuous demos of the new SoundGrid Studio System and new DiGiGrid Advanced Audio Interfaces. Completely new was the Waves Tracks Live multitrack recording software.
