Antelope Audio Introduces Amári 24-bit/384 kHz AD/DA Converter and Headphone Amplifier

Antelope Audio announced availability of Amári — a reference-grade AD/DA converter capable of 24-bit, 384 kHz conversion and with DSD256 support. Clearly targeted at a more demanding music enthusiast segment, the company says Amári "is most likely the only device on the market that can achieve 138dB dynamic range," thanks to using eight CS43198 DAC chips at its D/A stage. The Amári features an easy-to-use interface and includes a unique headphone membrane weight compensation system with user-selectable output resistance.

Asahi Kasei Microdevices Introduces Premium Audio Solutions at High End 2019 in Munich

Asahi Kasei Microdevices Corporation (AKM) will show its latest flagship Velvet Sound Verita AK4499 32-bit audio D/A Converter (DAC) at the High End 2019 show in Munich, Germany. A newly developed IC manufacturing process was adopted in this flagship DAC to deliver the best sound quality so far in the company's range of products, achieving -124dB THD+N and 140dB S/N. The AK4499 is also the first among AKM products to use a new current output architecture. AKM will also demonstrate its new ultra-low power HiFi D/A converters for Bluetooth headphones, AK4331 (stereo) and AK4332 (mono).

Asahi Kasei Microdevices Corporation (AKM) launched the AK1574, a fractional-N PLL synthesizer with a Voltage Controlled Oscillator (VCO) for frequency modulation, able to replace variable capacitance diode configurations. Targeting professional, portable, radio transmission systems, the built-in VCO supports from 46.875 to 1682.5MHz, saves space, has low-phase noise, and low-power consumption. Uses include two-way radios in the VCO configuration with a variable capacitance diode and a winding coil, with support for diversity receivers.

The new advanced stereo D/A converter uses AKM's Velvet Sound architecture, delivering improved audio performance with a THD+N of -109dB, and offers support for DSD inputs up to DSD256.

ARKAMYS successfully ported its audio enhancement software solution SoundStage Core on AKM’s AK7738 digital signal processor (DSP), leveraging the platform capabilities to enhance the surround sound effect achieved inside the car.
