The technology, built-in into the company's new Snugs Snapp mobile app, unveiled at CES 2018 in Las Vegas, will be available from Q3 2018. Snugs Snapp works by users taking a photo of their ears, and the Snugs innovative algorithm (patent pending) processes the image to generate 3D print custom-fit ear tips using soft medical grade silicon. The process takes minutes and the Snugs custom-fit earphones are delivered in a few days. Snugs made using Snugs Snapp will cost from $99/99 Euros, half the price of regular Snugs and a fraction of the cost of traditional custom-fit in-ear monitors.
"Creating custom-fit earphones using a smartphone is more convenient, faster and cheaper - enabling Snugs to be ordered via the App anywhere and anytime. This will be, not so much a disruption of the global audio market, as the beginning of its complete transformation. Snugs own all the IP, with patents applied for.

“By 2020, the custom-fit earphones market is forecast to be worth $2.4 billion, and Snugs is the leader in this market. We are the one company to offer a complete solution, to consumers, to retailers and to the major earphone brands," explains Paul Jobin, Snugs CEO and Founder.

Snugs is a company based in the UK, specializing in custom-fit earphones. In 2017, Snugs was featured on the BBC’s Dragons’ Den, and launched new concessions in Selfridges, London and GrandAudition, Paris, both using the company's 3Shape Phoenix 3D scanner. The Snugs Snapp will be available to download for iOS and Android from Q3 2018.
