Developed over many years in close cooperation with an extensive list of world-renowned industry professionals, the Lewitt LCT 1040 microphone system ($3499) is designed to serve as "the ultimate studio centerpiece," the company proudly says.
The LCT 1040 microphone system is a tube/FET microphone with a power supply and detachable remote-control unit. The latter connects via studio standard 3-pin XLR and lets users dial in the perfect sound from their sweet spot, where they can make the best decisions. This includes selecting different all-analog tube (E88CC/6DJ8) characteristics - Clear, Warm, Dark, and Saturated - from the pressure gradient, gold-sputtered 1" true condenser capsule. The LCT 1040 features two XLR outputs with Neutrik connectors, one being a Mix output that delivers the ratio set with the Circuit control, a combination of the tube and FET circuit, while the FET output delivers 100% pure FET independent from the Circuit control.
The remote control feature allows users to select the polar pattern and seamless adjust from omnidirectional to wide cardioid, cardioid, supercardioid, and figure-8. This allows to set the directivity remotely but, additionally, users can also freely define the front of the mic positioning, depending on the recording scenario. The Default position sets the tube window as the front side of the mic, and the Reverse sets the logo as the front of the mic.

But there’s more – you can mix the tube circuit seamlessly with a crystal-clear FET for the extra punch," he adds. "You can also set the polar patterns seamlessly, and there are four low-cuts and attenuation settings available to capture everything perfectly at the source."

To make the LCT 1040 into a full system, Lewitt added a special shock mount using carbon fiber parts for extra support and a distinct look. The included magnetic pop filter comes with a high-performance double-screen design. The build quality is superb, and the majority of components are custom-made from scratch to ensure optimal acoustic performance.
The Lewitt LCT 1040 is designed and engineered in Vienna, Austria, and shipped in a nearly indestructible transport case including the microphone, PSU, remote control, shock mount, mic mount, magnetic pop filter, cables, shock mount and will be available from February 16, 2022 for a suggested retail price of €3499 EUR or $3499 USD.
