German test and measurement specialist HEAD acoustics announced the latest update to its modular software platform for sound and vibration measurements and analysis, introducing enhancements and optimizations for a more efficient user experience. With the new release 13.6, HEAD acoustics has further optimized ArtemiS SUITE for efficient analysis of product and environmental noise as well as structural dynamics.
With this 13.6 update, the valuable reporting function of ArtemiS SUITE has become even more powerful. The layout of a large number of report pages can be conveniently changed with just one click with the Master functionality and the software now boots up noticeably faster. The data acquisition recorder offers new functions for a user-friendly and compelling online monitor display, for example, when analyzing across two reference variables as a point map or chart.
The company's user-centric approach to developing analysis tools for structural dynamics facilitates professional results without long training periods or years of experience. In ArtemiS SUITE 13.6, HEAD acoustics introduced artificial intelligence with neural networks to support modal analysis of selected parameters. In addition, the multi-reference option in the modal analysis project expands the analysis options for even more accurate results.
Also in structural dynamics tools, HEAD acoustics has further improved the user interface with a flexible layout and ease of use of ODS, Shape Comparison, TDA and Modal Analysis. As the company explains, the TPA project with adapted workflow and visualizations simplifies the transfer path analysis process and the interaction with the NVH simulator PreSense.
Thanks to a variable frequency offset, ArtemiS SUITE 13.6 enables order analyses for powertrains whose converters have variable switching frequencies. The necessary information about the varying switching frequencies is easily obtained, for example, from the recorded CAN bus signals. To meet the characteristics of electric motors, ArtemiS SUITE provides cursor and analysis settings tailored to e-mobility and resolver signals are used to calculate the electric motor speed. Users can now use the Channel Editor to generate decoded channels directly from a pulse signal or, conversely, pulse channels from a speed signal, for example. With the manual correction, users can revise faulty command variable signals for which automatic error correction is insufficient.
HEAD acoustics has also optimized the SQala jury testing module integrated into ArtemiS SUITE, introducing enhanced comparison methods, allowing several attributes to be retrieved in one step, enabling more efficient execution of listening tests, as an example. To improve the user experience during listening tests, a speedometer now displays speeds or other reference variables synchronously with the sound. This interface also offers various configuration options.
