FORCE Technology's SenseLab is one of the world's leading independent labs for perceptual sound quality testing. As a world-class hub for audio startups, manufacturers, researchers, and students, Sound Hub Denmark benefits from the organization's decades of experience developing and testing the acoustics, noise and sound quality of just about any system and device. FORCE Technology will make their facilities and laboratories for testing, calibration and analysis available, providing products, components, and sensor systems as well as specialist consultancy services and training.
SenseLab sound quality laboratories are placed in Hørsholm, close to Copenhagen, and are already an important part of the backbone of the Danish innovation system, offering mechanical or perceptual testing of any product or device. SenseLab laboratories ensure realistic product testing conditions, and its high-quality sound library of recorded speech and scenes offers updated reference material, including Higher Order Ambisonic (HOA) real-life captured scenes with 360-video; which can be played via a 26-channel loudspeaker setup, creating a close to real-life exposure to sound.
SenseLab perceptual evaluation is a vital part of product development and benchmarking. Their team of reputable sound experts help clients develop products optimized for the expectations and needs of end-users. From codecs, loudspeakers and headphones, to hearing aids and automotive systems over the past 20 years. Clients include Jabra, ETSI/3GPP, Phonak, Bluetooth Special Interest Group (SIG), GN ReSound, Google, Widex, Siemens and the Danish Broadcasting Corporation (DR).

Joining forces, FORCE Technology and Sound Hub Denmark can offer a unique combination of subjective and objective evaluation of product sound quality. The aim of the cooperation is to support and strengthen the competitiveness of companies with the newest research and innovation. "As one of Denmark's largest government-approved research and technology organizations, we exist for others, and it is our duty to take the lead in helping Danish companies become technological and sustainable frontrunners. We are very pleased with this new partnership because we get to support, develop, and strengthen especially the SMEs within the Danish audio industry," says Søren Vase Legarth, Head of SenseLab at FORCE Technology.
The partnership will provide startups, manufacturers, and students access to the software platform SenseLabOnline for audio/visual testing and demonstration of new technologies and sound solutions at Sound Hub Denmark, allowing effective blinded test of loudspeakers through the use of speaker spinners, available on-site. Sound Hub will also offer a trained expert listening panel that can offer independent sound quality evaluation services.
"We are excited about this partnership and look forward to offering these highly recognized subjective and objective tests from FORCE Technology to our network," says Peter Petersen, CEO at Sound Hub Denmark.
