Audioscenic Collaborates With Dell to Launch World's First AI-Enhanced 3D Sound PC Monitor

January 9 2025, 00:30
Audioscenic, the UK-based 3D sound technology innovator, announced a collaboration with Dell to launch the new 32 Plus 4K QD-OLED monitor. Featuring the latest Amphi Hi-D technology, the 31.5-inch QD-OLED monitor launched at CES 2025 includes a room-filling 5x5W bezel-mounted speaker array, offering a first-of-its-kind multichannel 3D audio experience that truly translates existing immersive audio content sources.

Since launching in 2016, Audioscenic has been on a mission to evolve spatial audio rendering by combining Machine Learning AI with advanced signal processing to deliver an unparalleled immersive sound experience that adapts to the listener's position. At CES 2023, Audioscenic Amphi debuted on the Razer Leviathan V2 Pro soundbar and was recognized as Best in Show. In 2024, Acer launched the SpatialLabs View 27 series of stereoscopic display products featuring Amphi. Now, at CES 2025 the new Dell QD-OLED monitor with Amphi Hi-D takes audio for computer displays to a whole new level.

While conventional solutions have promised immersive experiences, Amphi Hi-D takes it further with its unique combination of multichannel crosstalk cancellation with AI position sensing. That means premium 3D sound that’s deeper, more cinematic, and more accurate without requiring room systems or headphones. The technology's scalability allows for integration into form factors from soundbars, to laptops, to monitors, providing a clear path for product differentiation.

Using the built-in webcam as a Machine Learning AI powered sensor, Amphi senses the alignment of the listener's ears relative to the monitor screen. This positional data enables beamforming, and optimizes the crosstalk cancellation effect that unlocks spatial cues to deliver optimized 3D sound to the listener. Compared to conventional 2-channel stereo systems, Hi-D provides superior control over 3D sound reproduction through advanced crosstalk cancellation across multiple speakers. Hi-D also offers an enhanced user experience with more uniform frequency response, wider cancellation spectrum, increased loudness, and reduced reflections.

"With the new QD-OLED monitor, we’re bringing AI-enhanced Hi-D sound to everyday computing," said Marcos Simon, CTO and Co-Founder of Audioscenic. "Precision-tuned Amphi Hi-D transforms conference calls, games, movies, music and more into immersive experiences, delivering an enveloping sphere of life-like sound."

Together with the new Dell 32 Plus 4K QD-OLED monitor, during CES 2025 Audioscenic also demonstrated a pre-production version of another larger display with Amphi Hi-D technology. In its demonstration suite, the company showcased how Amphi Hi-D takes the 3D sound experience to a new level using a larger array with Tectonic BMR drivers to create maximum impact with this new multichannel technology. Several prototypes of laptops also equipped with a series of tweeters positioned close to the display also served to showcase the enormous potentials for computer manufacturers to leverage Amphi Hi-D technology to offer a new experience in sound.

As Marcos Simon and CEO David Monteith explained to audioXpress, Audioscenic is now working on a demonstration of Amphi Hi-D technology for automotive audio, allowing for each seat in a car to receive a fully personalized Spatial Audio experience that is able to faithfully reproduce Dolby Atmos content for each passenger.
