Model TE-07 is the first IEM from Fostex that adopts balanced armature type driver, thoroughly tuned by Fostex headphone engineers, delivering an extremely natural and transparent audio performance. The Fostex TE-07 also features the newly designed 6N cable with the same detachable connector compatible with the TE-05 (the cable is sold separately as ET-H1.2N6), for easy replacement when damaged.
Using a single balanced armature driver system within a machined aluminum housing, the Fostex TE-07 Inner Ear Headphones provide a clear and articulate frequency response of 20 to 20,000 Hz into a 33 ohm load with a sensitivity of 95 dB (at 1 kHz, 1 mW). The 3.9’ (1.2m) cable is detachable for easy replacement, and will also work as an upgrade for the Fostex TE-05 inner ear headphones. The right unit of connector has a small projection in red for easy identification. The headphones come with four sizes of ear tips (XS, S, M, L) to ensure a comfortable fit as well as a leather carrying case with an embossed Fostex logo.
This is a clear alternative to much more expensive balanced armature IEM’s currently in the market, considering the very reasonable price ($249.99) for this type of technology. The Fostex TE-07’s are ideal for anyone in the market for a standard-shaped universal solution that can be carried anywhere, for pure music enjoyment or even some laptop production work.
Fostex is one of the largest manufacturers of drivers and headphone drivers in the world and the TE-07’s are a great demonstration of what a big Japanese manufacturer can achieve when it combines great engineering with the best industrial design.
