
Genelec Introduces New Compact Smart Active Monitoring Systems
At the IBC 2014, Genelec released a new generation of SAM systems by introducing two new compact two-way monitors, the 8320 and 8330, and a new subwoofer, the 7350, along with an entirely new and highly intuitive Genelec Loudspeaker Manager software, GLM 2.0, complemented with a new measurement microphone and network adapter unit.

TC Electronic Introduces Adaptive Loudness Normalization Technology or aNorm
During the IBC 2014 show, TC Electronic introduced a new aNorm algorithm and loudness processing meter – the Butterfly Meter – as part of the new LoudnessWizard II license for the DB6 Broadcast Audio Processor. aNorm is a hi-resolution loudness adjustment technology that TC says it represents an advance over first generation streaming correction which relied on heavy processing to achieve a desired loudness target value, or to soften transitions between programs.

Sennheiser Launches Dante Card for Digital 9000 Wireless Microphone System
At the IBC 2014 show in Amsterdam, Sennheiser introduced a Dante option card for its EM 9046 receiver, enabling its top-of-the-range Digital 9000 microphone system to be integrated into Dante audio-over-IP networks. The EM 9046 DAN card simply slots into the Sennheiser receiver, enabling Digital 9000 to send uncompressed HD audio data over a Dante network and conveniently route the system’s high-definition audio data via Audinate’s Dante Controller.

Calrec Introduces New Summa 128 Channels Console and Dante Interface
Calrec's new 128 channel Summa console offers broadcast-focused facilities a straightforward and intuitive control surface. Allowing broadcasters to scale resources to their requirements, Summa is now available with 128 or 180 Channels. Calrec also unveiled a new Dante interface and a full suite of Assistive Apps at IBC 2014.

New Studer Vista V Introduced at IBC 2014
At IBC 2014 in Amsterdam, HARMAN Professional showcased an impressive array of new products for broadcast applications in its Soundcraft and Studer routers, cores and digital consoles lines. Studer introduced no less than eight new products and updates for its line of digital audio consoles including the new Vista X digital console, new Infinity Core 200, version 5.2 software upgrades and AES67 interfacing via a D23m card.

iZotope introduced its new audio repair and enhancement suite, RX 4 at the IBC 2014 show in Amsterdam. RX 4 update’s introduces significant new features like non-destructive Clip Gain and RX Connect, while Dialogue Denoiser is now a standard feature. RX 4 Advanced adds a new Leveler, Ambience Match, EQ Match and Loudness processing.

IBC 2014 - Avid have today announced new Avid branded Apogee Duet and Quartet audio interfaces bundled with Pro Tools. The new versions offer both Mac and Windows support for Apogee’s audio interfaces. The Avid badged Apogee Duet and Quarter interfaces offer all the same features as the regular Apogee versions of the audio interfaces but with some added options.

Spotify Connect Streaming with Frontier Silicon’s New Multi-Room Connected Audio Solution
British digital radio and connected audio IC specialist Frontier Silicon, working closely with Spotify, has developed a multi-room audio synchronization solution which allows wireless speakers, micro-systems, AV receivers, adapters and table-top radios to benefit from Spotify’s streaming services, allowing full control from a mobile device.

DiGiCo Shows Dedicated Broadcast Consoles and Demos Three-way Network Communication at IBC2014
This year’s IBC will see UK manufacturer DiGiCo show its range of broadcast application specific consoles and demonstrate a new and innovative three-way network communication solution. Live demonstrations, will connect the DiGiCo booth to the Optocore and Clear-Com booths via an Optocore loop for audio, intercom and data connectivity with a BroaMan Route66 core router providing video.
