NTi Audio Introduces Advanced RT60 Reverb Measurements and Low Frequency Noise Assessment with the XL2
The XL2 Sound Level Meter now measures reverberation time using the T30 method, a free enhancement in line with the current ISO3382 standard. NTi Audio also announced that its Data Explorer PC software for the XL2 now includes professional tools for detailed analysis of low-frequency noise (LFN).

QSC TouchMix Mixers Get Free 2.1 Upgrade
QSC Audio has announced a free firmware download upgrade for its TouchMix mixer range, adding reliability and stability along with a new multi-language info system. The 2.1 firmware adds support for MIDI-over-USB foot-switches, more scene recall functions, the ability to use auxiliary mixes as sub-groups and improved Wi-Fi connectivity.

Apogee Groove Portable Headphone Amplifier and DAC is Now Available
Apogee Electronics announced the worldwide availability of Groove, a portable headphone amplifier and DAC for Mac and Windows computers. According to Apogee, Groove builds upon Apogee’s 30-year history of digital audio technology for music creation and “unlocks the highest possible quality of any headphones or powered speakers” for music listening.

During the High End 2015 show in Munich, Germany, British high-end audio manufacturer Chord Electronics introduced what the company proudly calls “the world’s most advanced digital to analogue convertor”. Given the acronym DAVE, the $12,500 (£7,995) unit integrates a reference-grade DAC, digital preamp and headphone amplifier.
