RCF Announces Firmware Update and Unveils Expansion To RCF M Series Mixers
Following their successful launch in 2015, RCF’s M 08 and M 18 digital mixers will now enjoy enhanced functionality thanks to the latest firmware update. At the same time RCF has hinted that the wireless-controlled digital mixer series will shortly extend, with a larger-format M 24, 24-input chassis, for larger production duties.

RME Celebrates 20 Years at Musikmesse 2016 and Introduces First Thunderbolt Audio Interface
German digital audio interface specialist RME celebrated its 20th anniversary at the Frankfurt Musikmesse 2016 show and launched several new products, including the Fireface UFX+, the company’s first Thunderbolt interface and its new flagship recording solution. As RME highlighted, this Thunderbolt interface allows real PCI Express audio performance under Mac and Windows, with the lowest latency, lowest system overhead and lowest CPU load.

NUGEN Audio Releases 9.1 Option for Halo Upmix With Full Support for Dolby Atmos and Overhead Positioning
NUGEN Audio unveiled an all-new option for Halo Upmix, the company’s solution for upmixing stereo audio to surround. The 9.1 option allows the introduction of vertical positioning into the upmix, generating a 7.1.2 (Dolby Atmos) bed track-compatible upmix.
