
Second Los Angeles Audio Show Back to Orange County
The Los Angeles & Orange County Audio Society and Marine Presson have confirmed a new location for the second edition of the Los Angeles Audio Show (LAAS). The West Coast event will move to the Hilton Irvine, the one just close to John Wayne Airport, Orange County (SNA), and will take place June 8 to 10, Friday to Sunday, as the tradition of consumer show dictates. With this second edition, LAAS should consolidate its position replacing the former T.H.E. Show.

Malcolm Hawksford to Give AES Milan Heyser Memorial Lecture – “Understanding High Quality Audio – A Personal Journey”
The AES Milan Convention, being held 23–26 May at the NH Hotel Milano Congress Centre in Milan, Italy, will feature Malcolm Hawksford – Emeritus Professor within the School of Computing Science and Electronic Engineering at Essex University, Colchester, and a recent AES Gold Medal Winner – as presenter of the 38th Richard C. Heyser Memorial Lecture, speaking on the topic “Understanding High Quality Audio – A Personal Journey.”

Marshall Electronics Releases New AR-DM61-BT Multi-Channel Digital Audio Monitor
Marshall Electronics announced the release of a new multi-channel digital audio monitor for NAB 2018 (Las Vegas, April 9-12), the Marshall AR-DM61-BT. Packed into a sleek 1 RU design, the Marshall AR-DM61-BT allows users to monitor up to 64 channels of audio vertically, or two detailed audio channels horizontally, and also includes a live video confidence monitor. It also is equipped with two powerful stereo speakers that feature a max volume of 100 dB.
