At IBC 2018, Sennheiser previewed its new SK 6212, a mini-bodypack transmitter for the Digital 6000 wireless microphone system. Scheduled to be available early 2019, the mini-transmitter will be an ideal choice for any broadcast, theatre, musical or live audio show that requires an inconspicuous, ultra-compact and lightweight package with the same reliable and spectrum-efficient transmission as that offered by the other Digital 6000 transmitters.

Texas Instruments (TI), a founding member of the USB Implementers Forum, introduced two new USB Type-C and USB Power Delivery (PD) controllers, with fully integrated power paths to simplify designs, minimize solution size and speed time to market. The TPS65987D and TPS65988 controllers enable higher power in dual- and single-port applications, and offer system designers the industry's highest level of integration which can reduce design complexity and overall cost.

DPA Introduces d:screet CORE 6000 Series Subminiature Microphones with First 3mm Capsules
Launched at IBC 2018 in Amsterdam, the new DPA d:screet CORE 6060 and 6061 Subminiature Microphones and the d:fine CORE 6066 Subminiature Headset Microphone are just three millimeters in diameter – two millimeters smaller than DPA’s existing 4000 series of miniature microphone products. Lucyd Pte Ltd, a company based in Singapore, has recently announced their first product, Lucyd Loud, the world’s first prescription-compatible Bluetooth smart glasses.
