Knowles Announces First Amazon-Qualified Development Kit for Wake-on-Voice Alexa Headsets
Knowles announced that it has developed a new hands-free reference solution to enable OEMs and ODMs to build headphones, headsets and wireless earbuds that allow users to talk directly to Alexa. The new AISonic SmartMic Headset Development Kit for Amazon AVS supports Alexa with the lowest power voice activation, eliminating the need for Push-to-Talk activation. This Development Kit includes the Knowles AISonic IA611 SmartMic, which integrates a low power audio edge processor inside a tiny microphone.

Yamaha Adopts Audinate’s Dante AV Technology
Yamaha Corporation has adopted Audinate's Dante AV Product Design suite for integrated AV over IP audio/video technology, and has begun the development of a new suite of products targeted at the Pro AV market. Based on Audinate’s recently-announced Dante AV technology, initial Yamaha AV products will centre around applications requiring the need to breakout and distribute audio and video signals, while maintaining tight synchronisation throughout the facility or venue.

Tectonic Audio Labs Introduces New DML500 Flat Panel Speaker and LS-118 Subwoofer
