
miniDSP Launches IL-DSP Tiny Headphone Amplifier Based on XMOS xCORE-200
Those tireless folks from miniDSP have done it again! The Hong-Kong company just announced IL-DSP (In Line DSP), a tiny USB headphone amplifier with integrated DSP that is the perfect device to insert between any mobile music source and one's favorite headphones. This is a USB Audio class 2 device interface for PC-Mac-Linux-Android OS with a 3.5mm stereo jack output that is PCM and DSD capable, and features 10 PEQ filters (IIR correction) to equalize headphones, 3 button controls and an embedded microphone.

MPEG-H Audio Selected to Enhance Brazilian Digital Television with Immersive and Personalized Sound
The SBTVD (Sistema Brasileiro de Televisão Digital / Brazilian Digital Television System) Forum has selected MPEG-H Audio for inclusion as an additional audio system in the ISDB-Tb (Brazil's own digital terrestrial standard) specifications. Fraunhofer IIS and its technology partners EiTV and ATEME have showcased live ISDB-Tb broadcasting using MPEG-H Audio for the first time at the 2019 SET Expo trade show, taking place from August 27 to 29 in São Paulo, Brazil.

Propellerhead Software Becomes Reason Studios and Announces Reason 11 Music Production Software
In 1994, a Swedish company named Propellerheads setup to create what would become one of the most powerful music creation software platforms in the world. The company later changed its name to Propellerhead Software as it expanded its portfolio of software and technologies for musicians. Now, the company announced that it is changing its name once again to become Reason Studios, as it announced a major update to its flagship music making software, Reason 11.

Sound Devices announced firmware version 2.00 for its Scorpio 32-channel / 36-track portable mixer-recorder launched earlier this year.
