Precisely a month since I was at the Barcelona Fira attending the mammoth of a trade show that is Integrated Systems Europe, here I was back in Barcelona for an even bigger and busier event, the annual Mobile World Congress (MWC) promoted by the GSMA. 109,000 attendees and 2,900 exhibitors. In this first impressions report I discuss Bluetooth, why there was no Auracast, how Qualcomm made a splash with XPAN, and why are mobile operators obsessed with AI and Robots.

Samsung promoted its Galaxy Unpacked event in Paris to unveil its latest range of folding smartphones, Galaxy Z Fold 6 and Galaxy Z Flip 6, two new smart watches, and a smart ring. Included in the series of announcements was the unveiling of Samsung's latest Galaxy Buds 3 Series true wireless earbuds, which surprised everyone for the radical departure from its original design in the previous generations. The new Galaxy Buds 3 and Galaxy Buds 3 Pro now look exactly like the earbud shapes of the AirPods.

Interestingly, the company is the latest brand to partner with Mimi Hearing Technologies to adopt Mimi Sound Personalization.
