Nordic Semiconductor to Demonstrate Bluetooth 5 Enhancements at CES 2017

Nordic Semiconductor in collaboration with its design partners are unveiling latest Bluetooth low energy and IEEE 802.15.4-enabled innovations at International CES 2017 in Las Vegas. The Norwegian company will demonstrate the capabilities of its Bluetooth 5-compatible nRF52 Series SoCs. Product demonstrations include contactless payment, wearables wireless charging, thread networking, voice-activated remote control, educational platforms, home automation and Bluetooth 5 enhancements.

Following the 2015 release of its SpeechLine Digital Wireless, the world’s first wireless digital microphone to be designed exclusively for speech applications, Sennheiser is expanding the range with new products that further enhance its flexibility, including two fully wireless Tablestand units, a Qi-based wireless charging solution and a new network enabled charging unit.

Texas Instruments (TI) introduced the industry’s first Wireless Power Consortium (WPC) v1.2 Qi-certified 15-W wireless power transmitter. The bq501210 enables 84 percent system efficiency with significantly less thermal dissipation than traditional wireless power devices. The transmitter supports multiple fast-charging protocols and offers an array of flexible and customizable features such as personal electronics, medical and space-constrained industrial applications.
