In a surprise announcement, TASCAM launched its new Sonicview Recording Mixer line available as either the TASCAM Sonicview 16XP or TASCAM Sonicview 24XP models. Both units incorporate state-of-the-art technology and a new multi-screen user interface called VIEW (Visual Interactive Ergonomic Workflow) to allow easy operation and control of all system parameters using completely customizable touch screens, user-definable buttons, and intuitive control software.

OEMs can now pair low-power Knowles IA61x SmartMics with wake-on-voice capabilities with Trillbit’s ‘Data Over Sound’ for frictionless smart device setup of connected devices and appliances. Knowles announced a collaboration with Trillbit, the Boston-based data-over-sound company that offers next-generation software solutions to authenticate people and things without the use of passwords.

Speechly, a voice technology startup from Finland, launched a new developer tool that lets users convert an Alexa skill into a Speechly application that work across the web and mobile applications. The Speechly application can be used to enable Reactive Voice User Interfaces across all major browsers and in mobile apps. The announcement was made live on stage, during the second day of the 2021 VOICE Summit in Arlington, Virginia. The tool was released as a public beta, with plans for quick iteration in partnership with users.
