Solid State Logic Unveils New Oracle Analog Mixing Console

Solid State Logic (SSL) announced the launch of Oracle, a new analog mixer that offers instant, effortless, and complete recall and reset across the entire console, promising to reenergize studio production. The famous British brand calls it a “future analogue console” concept that uses ActiveAnalogue technology to deliver SSL's signature analog sound and processing with the convenience of digital control, fulfilling the dreams of producers, engineers, and studio owners worldwide.

Among the many important announcements from Solid State Logic at ProLight+Sound 2017, where naturally the spotlight was on live sound solutions, it was almost easy to forget the fact that somewhere in the same fairground complex there was also a show called Musikmesse that was supposed to be focused on recording. And SSL had plenty to show in that regard, including a new Matrix-δelta software release and new updated plug-ins for δelta-enabled AWS consoles.

The result of nine years of R&D, PreSonus’ new third-generation StudioLive Series III digital console/recorders are fully recallable. At NAMM 2017, the new series launched with two models: the 16-channel StudioLive 16, with 17 touch-sensitive, motorized faders and 17 recallable XMAX preamps and the top-of-the-line StudioLive 32, with 33 touch-sensitive, motorized faders and 33 recallable XMAX preamps.

The new Allen & Heath Qu-Pac, introduced at the 2015 NAMM Show and available from March 2015, is an ultra-compact 38 in / 28 out rack-mountable digital mixer with built-in touchscreen and iPad control. Qu-Pac basically takes the power and quality of the brand’s Qu mixers and shrinks it into an uber-compact desk or rack mount format, allowing to mix either from an iPad or on the built-in touchscreen.
