T.H.E. Show Announces Cooperative Venture with Lone Star Audiofest for New Audio Show in Austin, TX

The promoters of the Lone Star Audiofest and T.H.E. Show - two long-standing regional hifi audio shows - have announced a landmark cooperative venture to promote a new join-effort to take place in Austin, Texas. The new event would be (hopefully tentatively) called T.H.E. Lone Star Audiofest, sponsored by T.H.E. Enterprises, and take place in late spring 2025 (May 2-4), expanding its original scope from local companies and DIY, to attract manufacturers and more distributors.

So many audio manufacturers have kept busy during the global pandemic and have yet to show publicly the results of their work. Heavenly Soundworks is a new US brand, which will officially debut the FIVE17 Loudspeaker System at T.H.E. Show 2021, 11-13 June, at the Hilton Long Beach Hotel, Long Beach, CA. This will be the first chance to listen to this new active loudspeaker design, the work of Kevin and Jonathan Couch, the company’s co-founders.

Rembrandt Laboratories is promoting its patent-pending speaker design Model V with the line "New Audio Technology With Sound So Beautiful, It Moves Listeners to Tears of Joy," claiming a level of realism that feels like the artist is in the room. Effectively, the outside of the Model V, in stained poplar tone wood, looks like one those early tube radios, but there's nothing vintage inside this active speaker, using a distributed mode planar driver with proprietary multiple internal tuned resonate chambers and bass reflex port.

The Los Angeles & Orange County Audio Society and Marine Presson have confirmed a new location for the second edition of the Los Angeles Audio Show (LAAS). The West Coast event will move to the Hilton Irvine, the one just close to John Wayne Airport, Orange County (SNA), and will take place June 8 to 10, Friday to Sunday, as the tradition of consumer show dictates. With this second edition, LAAS should consolidate its position replacing the former T.H.E. Show.

The LAAS – Los Angeles Audio Show – is a new high-end audio and home theater show debuting in June 2017 and every weekend each year following Memorial Day. The Los Angeles Audio Show is presented in collaboration with the Los Angeles and Orange County Audio Society at the Sheraton Gateway across from the Los Angeles International Airport with complimentary shuttle service. The Los Angeles Audio Show is funded and managed by The Orion Group, a private investment firm.
