The OCA Alliance Previews Enhancements to AES70 Standard

AES70 is an open control and monitoring standard for professional audio and AV media network devices. From a single device and controller, to networks with almost any number of devices and multiple controllers, AES70 provides for powerful, high speed, low cost, robust system control and monitoring of devices from different manufacturers. The standard was now updated with a raft of enhancements and new features that improve accessibility and usability.

Renesas Electronics Corporation introduced the RX23W Module with full Bluetooth 5.0 Low Energy support for system control and wireless communication on endpoint connected devices. Featuring the RX23W 32-bit RX MCU supporting fully integrated Bluetooth Low Energy communication, the new RX23W module is equipped with an antenna, oscillator and custom-matched circuit. A solution ready for the development of connected home appliances, healthcare and sports and fitness equipment.
