Athom to Showcase Homey Pro Matter-Ready Smart Home Hub at CES 2023

Athom, a smart home solutions startup, will showcase the all new Homey Pro smart home hub at CES 2023, before introducing it in worldwide retail in 2023. Embedded with eight smart home technologies including Matter, Homey Pro offers a privacy-aware alternative for a better smart home. Now available for pre-order worldwide, the solution combines wireless and smart home devices from over 1000 brands in a unified home network with enhanced speed, privacy and ease of use.

AvidPlay, Avid’s subscription-based, independent music distribution service, now allows artists and labels to distribute their Dolby Atmos tracks directly to Apple Music’s new Spatial Audio offerings. For those Pro Tools users that see the value of the fully integrated subscription that AvidPlay provides, this is now an important argument to increase the value of new Dolby Atmos mixes. Artists can even use the AvidPlay dashboard to manage their tracks and albums, and monitor song performance and earnings.

At NAMM 2015, Avid introduced Pro Tools First, a free version of Pro Tools, together with Pro Tools 12, introducing new flexible licensing, cloud collaboration, new marketplace services, and cloud publishing. The new colaboration platform extends to Sibelius, Avid’s notation software, now with cloud publishing.

Avid has embarked in a completely new product architecture for its audio, video and newsroom solutions, which basically requires that all users get connected with cloud services to take advantage of what the company calls Avid Everywhere. To encourage its user base to follow the company’s vision, Avid is promoting new licensing for Pro Tools, giving access to future cloud features and software upgrades through March 2016.
