Steinberg announced the immediate availability of SpectraLayers Pro 7 and SpectraLayers Elements 7, the latest version of its powerful audio editing software for music production, post-production, sound design, mastering and restoration. The update focuses on enhancing its powerful tool set by adding automatic processes through new Artificial Intelligence algorithms that can sense discrete events in a sound field and isolate them on independent, colorful layers for processing.

Bose Professional announced the release of the Bose Array Tool, a new software application for macOS and Windows to help make sound system design smarter for AV professionals. The software features an intuitive workflow that requires minimal training, allowing custom-fit sound designs in less time. Using the direct-field calculation engine, users can quickly trial different loudspeaker models, placements, and coverage formations to best match the needs of the venue. Once designed, the software provides export ordering lists, rigging, and array information.
