SEGGER embOS RTOS Transforms 64-bit SoCs Into Single Chip Computers

German company SEGGER Microcontroller continues to expand its state-of-the-art software libraries and hardware and software tools for embedded systems development and production. In an interesting development, SEGGER has announced that its embOS real-time operating system now supports 64-bit processor cores. And many developers would also be interested to know that the company's SystemView verification solution for embedded development is now available under Friendly Licensing.

CEVA announced a new high performance sensor hub DSP architecture designed to handle the broad range of sensor processing and sensor fusion workloads for contextually-aware devices. The new SensPro device family serves as a hub for processing and fusing of data from multiple sensors including camera, Radar, LiDAR, Time-of-Flight, microphones and inertial measurement units. This highly-configurable and self-contained architecture brings together scalar and parallel processing for floating point and integer data types, as well as deep learning training and inferencing.

Analog Devices announced the availability of its new SHARC Audio Module (ADZS-SC589-MINI), a hardware/software platform that facilitates efficient product prototyping, development, and production of a variety of digital audio products. Delivering an innovative combination of high-performance audio signal processing components and a comprehensive software development environment, the SHARC Audio Module is ideal for effects processors, multi-channel audio systems, MIDI synthesizers, and many other DSP-based audio projects.

DECT Forum, the worldwide association focused on promoting the wireless home and enterprise communication industry, announced the market launch of openD, a new platform for software development using the DECT air interface for wireless applications. The launch conference will take place in Nuremberg, Fraunhofer IIS, on February 25, 2019. The initiative marks an important moment for wireless developers as the strengths of DECT and ULE (Ultra Low Energy) will become more accessible to developers and product managers alike.
