Particle Unveils Tachyon, a Qualcomm Snapdragon-Powered, 5G, AI-Enabled Single-Board Computer

Particle, a company from San Francisco focused on edge-to-cloud connectivity and platforms, has launched Tachyon, its first Qualcomm Snapdragon-powered single-board computer (SBC), comprising a powerful NPU for AI/ML workloads, built-in high-bandwidth cellular 5G and Wi-Fi 6E connectivity, and a Linux-powered Ubuntu operating system. The board is now available for pre-order on Kickstarter starting at $149.

Now the company entered a new chapter building on that foundation as Ezurio, continuing forward with all current portfolios of products and services.

Khadas, a company focused on high performance single board computers for makers and developers, achieved significant success in audio-focused products, particularly with high-resolution capable ESS-based audio DACs. Following earlier success with the Tone range of add-on boards, Khadas embarked on a more ambitious project with the Tone2 Pro, which is the company's first finished product, mandatory to support MQA hardware decoding. Khadas still intends to launch a Tone2 (non-Pro) version as a DIY Kit in the future, without MQA support.
