Lenbrook Media Group Partners with HDtracks to Create Scalable Audio Streaming Service for Music Enthusiasts

Lenbrook Media Group has announced that it is supporting the launch of the new HDtracks streaming service, which will leverage scalable audio technology while offering consumer choice in hi-res audio formats. Recognized as the original pioneering service for high quality music downloads, HDtracks will now be able to offer also a streaming solution that is able to support new higher quality levels, thanks to the latest AIRIA by MQA Labs scalable codec.

The newly formed Lenbrook Media Group (LMG), a business unit created on the aftermath of the MQA acquisition in the autumn of 2023, has announced the creation of MQA Labs with a mission to advance the distribution of high resolution audio with a suite of audio processing enhancement, conversion and encoding products for the music supply chain. Its three core solutions now include AIRIA by MQA Labs, essentially the SCL6 adaptive hi-res audio codec; FOQUS by MQA Labs, addressing analog-to-digital conversion; and QRONO by MQA Labs, audio processing enhancements for playback devices.

AURO-3D is going to CES 2024 with a different type of technology. The Belgian company will showcase AURO-CX, its new Next Generation Audio codec, which the company says is able to deliver scalable quality, channel count, sample rate, and objects, all in one powerful bitstream. From January 9–12, at The Venetian hotel, AURO-3D will provide demonstrations of this new scalable immersive audio codec with many potential applications.
