AXPONA 2022 Show Report: Back to Listening in Person

As the audio industry gradually resumed its trade show calendar in result of the global pandemic, Oliver A. Masciarotte offers a report from the 2022 edition of Audio Expo North America, better known as AXPONA - the most important annual hi-fi and high-end audio show in the US. As audio enthusiasts and audiophiles returned once again to listening in person at the Renaissance Schaumburg Convention Center Hotel, there was a lot to explore in very little time. Salk Signature Sound announced the introduction of its SS9.5 high fidelity loudspeakers, auditioned for the first time at the AXPONA 2019 hi-fi show in Chicago. Incorporating SB Acoustics Satori drivers and other top shelf components, the newest addition to the company's product line is an affordable, high performance 3-way acoustic suspension loudspeaker design that improves fidelity with linear phase response, lower distortion and wider bandwidth, extending the bottom octave.

Salk Signature Sound has introduced a very affordable system with high quality sound. Jim Salk’s new $2895 per pair Song3 vented three-way floor stander speakers sports a RAAL 64-10 ribbon on top, a 4” bamboo cone mid, and a Satori 7.5” Egyptian papyrus woofer. Two years in design, the newest addition to Salk’s product line was auditioned for the first time at the AXPONA 2016 show in Chicago and is now shipping.
