Since its humble beginnings in 1984, Audix has grown to offer a wide range of microphones for audio recording, live performance, and installed sound applications. To celebrate its 40 years, Audix launched 100 limited-edition, bead blasted D6X drum microphones.

The Return of an Icon: The New Revox B77 MK III Tape Recorder

A German company called Revox Klangwerk is now manufacturing reel to reel machines again, and is selling improved versions of the famous Revox B77 reel-to-reel analog recorder. Given the demand, and following a limited reissue B77 MK II in 2023, the company is now introducing the new Revox B77 MK III tape recorder, which the company says was redesigned and improved with significant new features, and using updated electronics, optimized with components available today. They are even selling Master Tapes to pair with this reissue.

Focusrite announced a much anticipated expansion to its 4th generation Scarlett range of USB audio interfaces. Launched in 2023 with the smaller Scarlett Solo, 2i2, Solo Studio, and 4i4 interfaces, the Scarlett range is now expanded with the 16i16, 18i16, and 18i20 models, adding greater connectivity to meet the demands of the modern project studio.
