Meeting the requirements for more complex and higher performance embedded systems, Microchip Technology has launched its new dsPIC33A Core family of Digital Signal Controllers (DSCs). The new DSCs feature a 32-bit architecture with a double-precision floating-point unit and DSP engine for faster computation in time-critical applications, ideal for fast-charging, wireless charging, and sensing systems such as those required for adaptive audio applications.

The new wireless dual-pad charging design - using fully-automotive qualified Microchip components - supports both Qi2's Extended Power Profile and Magnetic Power Profile with a single controller.

NXP Enables Industry-First Single Controller for In-Vehicle Multi-Device Wireless Charging

NXP Semiconductors announced that the first multi-device vehicle wireless charging solution driven by a single MWCT controller is now available in production vehicles. The solution charges two mobile devices simultaneously at up to 2x15 Watts using a single MWCT controller and supports all Qi wireless charging enabled phones including latest iPhone models, and products from Samsung, Huawei and others. Optional NFC is available for convenience features such as BLE/Wi-Fi pairing, smart car access with NFC, in-car purchases and NFC card damage protection.
