Renesas Combines Cyberon Algorithm in New Voice Recognition and Smart Control Reference Design

Renesas has announced a new reference design and combined solution for the development of voice recognition applications. The company offers an offline voice recognition algorithm that performs real time control, the Cyberon CSpotter, in a reference design that incorporates a low cost, ultra-low power RA6M1 MCU, a ISL32743E isolated high-speed RS-485 transceiver, an ISL80505 high-performance 0.5A LDO and a PS2561F-1 optically coupled UL approved isolator.

QuickLogic, the developer of ultra-low power multi-core voice-enabled SoCs, embedded FPGA IP, and Endpoint AI solutions, announced the launch of its EOS S3AI platform for endpoint Artificial Intelligence (AI) and Machine Learning (ML) applications. The new AI platform provides all the hardware blocks needed to enable low power AI at the connected device endpoint. It comes with time-series (continuous) sensors, including accelerometer / gyroscope / magnetometer motion sensors and two digital microphones (PDMs).

During CES 2019, CEVA, a leading licensor of signal processing platforms and artificial intelligence processors, introduced WhisPro, a Neural Network based speech recognition technology targeting the rapidly growing use of voice as a primary human interface for intelligent cloud-based services and edge devices. WhisPro provides Trigger Phrase SDKit for always-on devices, extending CEVA's intelligent sound IP portfolio, and offering developers a holistic solution for cloud-based or edge voice-controlled devices.
