Kinetic Technologies Supports the Latest 28V Level of USB PD3.1 Extended Power Range (EPR) Systems

Power management and video/audio interface components manufacturer Kinetic Technologies expanded its USB-C Overvoltage Protection IC portfolio with the introduction of its new KTS1890 device. Together with its KTS1898 6ARMS VBUS ISINK load switch and its KTU1128 USB Type-C data line (CC & SBU) protector, these three devices provide a robust and complete set of protection features for product designers. Key applications for the KTS1890 include any USB Type-C Dual Role Port design with PD 3.1 EPR 28V input.

Alpha and Omega Semiconductor, a designer, developer and global supplier of a broad range of power semiconductors and power ICs, announced a new USB Type-C Power Delivery high voltage sink protection switch using ideal diode methodology for reverse current protection. The AOZ13984DI-02 and AOZ13987DI-02 are smart protection switches in a single small thermally enhanced 3mm x 3mm DFN package.
