Peerless and Dirac Announce Strategic Partnership for Room Correction Integration

Peerless, a Tymphany subsidiary, and Dirac, the Swedish digital audio processing specialists, announced a strategic partnership to improve sound reproduction across the home and professional audio markets. The partnership integrates Dirac’s Dirac Live solution into Peerless’ Flow DSP audio development platform to enable manufacturers of home audio and professional audio systems to more seamlessly and efficiently integrate premium room correction into their product portfolio.

Peerless Audio, the component business of Tymphany producing transducers since 1926, has announced the launch of its new HVS speaker series, intended to promote sustainable design practices that remain competitively priced. For the new HVS drivers Peerless significantly reduced the use of adhesives, replaced paper cones to prevent wastewater pollution, and minimized the use of rare earth materials, whilst maximizing meaningful acoustic performance, all while achieving comparable performance with improved audio consistency.

Following the announcement that Tymphany partnered with the Fraunhofer Institute for Integrated Circuits (IIS) in Germany to provide new state-of-the-art spatial audio solutions to audio manufacturers, Tymphany now confirms that at the CES 2024 show in Las Vegas, the two companies will demonstrate new reference designs for both headphones and speakers. These demonstrations will take place at Suite #26336 of the Venetian.

The Fraunhofer Institute for Integrated Circuits (IIS), headquartered in Erlangen, Germany, and Tymphany have partnered to provide state-of-the-art spatial audio solutions to audio manufacturers. The two companies have worked together to integrate Fraunhofer's audio processing suites and audio technologies into Flow DSP, Tymphany's own DSP platform and design framework which allows creating immersive audio features in new audio products.
