AKM Launches AK5705 Low Power 4-Channel 32-bit A/D Converter

Asahi Kasei Microdevices (AKM) has developed the AK5705, a low power consumption 4-channel 32-bit A/D converter (ADC) with a built-in transimpedance amplifier in addition to a low-noise microphone amplifier. The new AKM the AK5705 ADC is connectable to current output sensors, supports a sampling frequency of 384kHz, and achieves a dynamic range of 109dB, while consuming 43% less power than existing AKM products. The built-in AC coupling capacitor significantly reduces the mounting area including external components.

CUI Devices Adds Digital I2S Output Devices to MEMS Microphone Line

CUI Devices' Audio Group announced the addition of two new digital I2S output models to its comprehensive line of MEMS microphones. The bottom port CMM-3526D-261-I2S-TR and top port CMM-4030D-261-I2S-TR are housed in extremely compact, low profile packages measuring 3.50 x 2.65 x 0.98 mm and 4.00 x 3.00 x 1.25 mm, respectively. Thanks to their digital I2S interface, these MEMS microphones eliminate the need for a codec, allowing for the microphones to connect directly to digital signal processors and microcontrollers in an end application.

TDK Announces First MIPI Standard SoundWire MEMS Microphone

Among the many interesting demonstrations of new audio solutions for developers presented by TDK at CES 2020, the T5808 MIPI standard SoundWire microphone stands out as a "world's first," using the MIPI Alliance SoundWire compliant digital interface which allows bi-directional data flow. The T5808 is a multi-mode, low noise digital MEMS microphone in a small package, consisting of a MEMS microphone element and an impedance converter amplifier followed by a fourth-order Σ-Δ modulator.

The AK5704EN 4-channel 32-bit A/D audio converter was developed for high-quality low-power multi-microphone recording applications. Its built-in microphone amplifier and power supply make it an ideal solution for conference systems, microphone array systems or smart speakers. The also new AK7739VQ/AK7737VQ audio and voice processors are multicore units, designed for car audio, car navigation systems, and wireless speakers applications.
