AAC and UltraSense Partner to Create Touch Experience Solutions for Cars and Consumer Electronics

AAC Technologies announced a strategic partnership with UltraSense Systems to explore the company's SmartSurface tactile interfaces to create holistic touch experience solutions for automotive and consumer electronics markets. As consumers demand more intuitive touch interfaces, the AAC and UltraSense partnership can help accelerate the industry transition from mechanical buttons to solid-state digital buttons.

The standard universal serial bus or USB connection is an industry mainstay that transfers data between two devices. Applications across the automotive, industrial and consumer industries have spurred the need for far-reaching USB cabling products. Microchip now introduced the new EQCO510 and EQCO5X31 devices, which offer a solid two-channel solution to send high-speed data signals up to 15 meters in both directions.

With the goal of elevating the user experience for a wide range of consumer devices, Cirrus Logic is leveraging its low-power, low-latency mixed-signal processing technology to develop an advanced product portfolio of haptic and sensing integrated circuits (ICs) that enable increased functionality and sleek buttonless designs for smartphones, PCs, wearables, gaming, virtual reality and automotive applications. Cirrus Logic’s haptic products and sophisticated haptic feedback technology enable sleeker, more robust end products with fewer mechanical controls for new responsive and immersive user experiences.

Automotive designers can now significantly lower EMI and increase efficiency with the pin-compatible MAX20073 and MAX20074 buck converters from Maxim Integrated Products. The new MAX20073/74 compact converters have unique spread-spectrum and Sync In features, and offer the industry's superior EMI performance with ultra-low quiescent current, ideal for automotive infotainment and advanced driver-assistance systems (ADAS) applications.

Microchip made a series of announcements for Embedded World 2017, including a completely new generation of 8-bit PIC MCUs for complex designs. The new PIC18 “K42” family offers a versatile array of Core Independent Peripherals with DMA and vectored interrupts for improved system performance with less code. Other announcements include new advanced Gigabit Ethernet products ideal for infotainment applications, and a new secure CEC1702 32-bit MCU for connected solutions.
