CUI Devices Launches New Audio Design Services

Oregon-based CUI Devices’ Audio Group announced the official launch of its new audio design services, with a team of sound specialists that are able to leverage advanced simulation tools and testing as well as decades of expertise to support developers and brands. Even for companies with their own in-house resources this level of support is able to optimize a range of audio parameters to specific system needs.

CUI Devices announced the addition of two MEMS microphone models purposely designed for active noise cancellation applications. With the industry increasingly requiring array configurations to enable processing of the audio signals captured by MEMS microphones in true wireless earbuds, headphones and headsets, the Audio Group of CUI Devices designed new models with high signal-to-noise ratios (SNR) and high acoustic overload points (AOP).

CUI Devices' Audio Group announced the addition of two new digital I2S output models to its comprehensive line of MEMS microphones. The bottom port CMM-3526D-261-I2S-TR and top port CMM-4030D-261-I2S-TR are housed in extremely compact, low profile packages measuring 3.50 x 2.65 x 0.98 mm and 4.00 x 3.00 x 1.25 mm, respectively. Thanks to their digital I2S interface, these MEMS microphones eliminate the need for a codec, allowing for the microphones to connect directly to digital signal processors and microcontrollers in an end application.

CUI Devices’ Audio Group announced the addition of waterproof enclosed speakers to its CES product family. Carrying IP67 ratings, these enclosed speakers feature sound pressure levels (SPLs) from 89 to 106 dB at 10 cm and resonance frequencies from 680 to 1700 Hz. Thanks to their enclosed speaker design and IP67 ratings, the CES series offer engineers a turnkey solution fully optimized for sound quality and simplified design integration in applications that may be subject to moisture and environmental contaminants.
