Synaptics Introduces World's First AI SoC Optimized for Unified Communication and Collaboration Products

Synaptics announced the availability of the DVF120, a power-efficient and cost-optimized system on chip (SoC) that is optimized for advanced Unified Communication and Collaboration (UC&C) products, and leverages the company's experience to integrate all major features required for such applications. The SoC extends its range of compute engines with a field-proven Linux and Android SDK, enterprise-grade security, and native support of popular collaboration platforms.

Knowles released a low power, high bandwidth, specialized vibration sensor that can be used to filter background noise and create reliable, high-quality voice calling in noisy environments. The Knowles V2S200D Digital Voice Vibration Sensor, the first-of-its-kind for the brand works in conjunction with microphones to improve voice signal pick-up in True Wireless Stereo (TWS) earbuds.

In order to ensure high quality wireless charging power transmitters, the Wireless Power Consortium (WPC) has released the Qi 1.3 Wireless Charging specification with the extended power profile. This new specification created demand for high security silicon authentication devices for full-service support. In response, Microchip Technology announced the new industrial grade TrustFLEX ECC608 and the automotive grade Trust Anchor TA100 combined with Microchip secure key provisioning services for Qi 1.3 power transmitters.

The Wireless Power Consortium (WPC) has recently released the Qi 1.3 specification that requires authentication for improved safety when transmitting up to 15W of power between a transmitter and a receiver. To meet the specification, Microchip Technology announced a new Qi 1.3 wireless charging reference design providing developers of wireless charging systems for automotive and consumer applications with the necessary tools and support for the seamless integration and certification of new-generation product designs.
