Analog Devices Now Sampling New ADXL380 and ADXL382 Triaxial MEMS Accelerometers

It was a big product announcement from Analog Devices at Sensors Converge 2024, but aside for what was revealed to those attending the event, there has yet to be a formal announcement. The ADXL380 and ADXL382 are low noise, low power, wide bandwidth, 16-bit sensors that cover a dynamic range of 85dB, making them good options for precision applications with minimal calibration, with the ADXL380 being ideal for new true wireless ANC earbuds. audioXpress explores here all the important details about these two new 3-axis MEMS accelerometers.

ESS Technology released its new 2 channel ES9826 SABRE Analog-to-Digital Converter (ADC). The new device combines effectively two integrated ADC circuits which use ESS’ patented Hyperstream IV ADC architecture, and a front-end PGA. Together, the new SABRE ADC device delivers high quality audio with a DNR of +123dB and a THD+N of -105dB, setting another industry benchmark for the company in terms of audio performance, features, and cost effectiveness.

Asahi Kasei Microdevices (AKM) has resumed sample shipments of 13 Velvet Sound D/A converters (DAC) and A/D converters (ADC) products - all part of a new generation of improved devices. The samples start shipping in January 2022. Mass production is scheduled for the third quarter of 2022. The new range of devices include new 115dB and 768kHz 32-bit DACs in 2, 4, 6, and 8-channel models, plus nine new 32-bit ADCs in 2, 4, and 8 channel models including the AK5522 ADC, ideal for bus-powered USB audio interfaces.

ESS Technology announced their newest addition to the SABRE audio series of DACs, the ES9080 8-channel DAC with built-in 2Vrms, ground centered line drivers. The new ESS SABRE ES9080Q DAC simplifies multichannel line level setups with best-in-class performance integrated into one small package. Texas Instruments (TI) introduced a new audio analog-to-digital converter (ADC) capable of capturing clear audio up to four times farther away than competing devices. The new TI Burr-Brown TLV320ADC5140 audio ADC enables far-field voice capture and achieves a 120-dB dynamic range for clear, high-fidelity audio in smart home applications. The TLV320ADC5140 is the industry’s smallest quad-channel audio ADC with this level of performance.
