New EKX Portable Loudspeakers from Electro-Voice

Electro-Voice introduced its latest portable sound family of speakers at the 2015 NAMM Show. The new EKX series targets live/club/installed sound applications and was engineered by EV to deliver best-in-class performance and reliability, using digital signal processing control, Signal Synchronized Transducers (SST) waveguide design, and Cardioid Control Technology for subwoofers.

Conexant Systems recently announced the CX20952, a new HD Audio Codec that enables high quality audio on computers and tablets with low power consumption, two cap-free headphone amplifiers, and a fully-integrated Class-D amplifier. Part of Conexant’s AudioSmart family, the new CX20952 produces maximum sound pressure level without damage to speakers or other components.

Dawn Pro Audio unveiled an original acoustic waveguide technology in its new AW Series powered speakers. The company says the new design “redefines wide dispersion” for portable sound reinforcement applications, allowing for an even sound spread across an 180-degree listening area. The new AW Series was shown for the first time at InfoComm 2014.
