Beyma Introduces Innovative Solutions for Next-Generation Compression Drivers

The brand new generation of Beyma compression drivers originates from an intense R&D effort and two patent-pending innovations. Unveiled at ISE 2013, Beyma's four base designs with 2 throat sizes, 4 voice coil diameters, 3 diaphragm materials and 2 magnet types, allow for a total of 12 new models (for now). Scheduled to be launched progressively during 2023, these new Beyma state-of-the-art high frequency transducers deliver new exciting possibilities for speaker designs.

Oberton has announced the company's latest 1-inch exist high neodymium frequency compression driver. The ND45 is an improved version of the company's ND2545 model, now incorporating a new phase plug, new dome with vented suspension and copper inductance ring, all aiming to improve its sound characteristics and ensure very low distortion at high sound levels. As Oberton highlights, the smooth impedance response of the ND45 in the crossover region will ensure perfect results with passive crossovers.

Global specialty plastics provider Eastman introduced Tritan Renew, a new-generation Tritan copolyester that offers sustainability without compromise, providing the same durability, performance and safety of the original Tritan formula but now with up to 50% recycled content derived from waste plastic. Eastman also confirms that it is actively working with electronics brands to develop earbuds, headphones, audio cases, and peripherals made from sustainable materials, including Tritan Renew.
