sensiBel Launches SBM100B Optical MEMS Microphone Family at Sensors Converge 2025

The first product based on the revolutionary technology from sensiBel will be officially launched at the Sensors Converge conference and exhibition, taking place June 24-26 in Santa Clara, CA. In a pivotal moment for the optical MEMS microphone pioneer, the SBM100B digital output microphone is now commercially available and will be demonstrated publicly at the event. The SBM100B family includes PDM and I²S digital audio interfaces, as well as an 8-channel TDM configuration for beamforming and microphone arrays.

Sennheiser Invests in Norwegian Optical MEMS Microphone Pioneer sensiBel

sensiBel announced a new successful 7 million Euros funding round with Sennheiser leading the investment together with existing main shareholders TRUMPF Venture, Skagerak Capital, Investinor, SINTEF Venture, MP Pensjon and Halden Kommunale Pensjonskasse. The funds will be used to expand production and invest in scalability of sensiBel’s patented optical MEMS microphones that offer 80dBA SNR and 132dB of dynamic range, a new level of performance for packaged miniature microphones.

MEMS Industry Expert Anthony Minervini Joins sensiBel

As it gets closer to commercialization, the optical MEMS microphone company from Norway, continues to expand its business and leadership team. sensiBel confirmed that it hired industry-heavyweight Anthony Minervini to the sensiBel development team. Anthony has been in the MEMS industry for 23 years and for the last 8 years has served as the microphone packaging technology architect for the acoustics group at Apple, following previous experiences with Knowles and Invensense (TDK), and Analog Devices.
