AES Fall Online 2021 Convention Features DIY in Opening Week Events

Following the cancellation of the scheduled in-person convention and activities, the Audio Engineering Society is promoting a series of online activities in order to bring its AES Fall Online 2021 Convention to a worldwide audience. Starting Monday, October 11, with live-streamed and on-demand events continuing through the month of October, all the events are included in one registration.

In view of the global pandemic situation and the impossibility to travel, the Audio Engineering Society confirmed that the 149th International AES Convention in New York will be instead converted to an online conference. The event is named AES Show Fall 2020 and will offer an expanded program of sessions. Early Bird registration options and pricing are available online for the virtual conference, featuring an expanded timeline and event offerings.

The Audio Engineering Society’s first online convention drew participants from 59 countries. The 2020 AES Spring Convention – AES Virtual Vienna – was presented in real time to a global audience, June 2–5, 2020, and thrived with attendees, despite being moved from its original, physical venue in Vienna, Austria, due to recent worldwide travel restrictions.
