Packetcraft and Ezurio Announce Talking Sensor Dev Kit with Bluetooth Auracast

Packetcraft announced that it has teamed up with Ezurio, formerly known as Laird Connectivity, to create an innovative rapid prototyping kit that expands the realm of Auracast Broadcast Audio. The concept of a "talking sensor" - Auracast-enabled sensors that talk directly to earbuds, hearing aids, headphones and hearing protection products - expands Bluetooth applications to a host of new devices that can communicate important notifications and messages.

Celestion announced the worldwide availability of the CDV1-1757 compression driver. The CDV1-1757 was designed for optimum vocal clarity across the critical vocal band, which makes this driver especially well suited to applications such as mass notification systems, emergency evacuation systems as well as long-distance call to prayer loudspeakers. It features a next- generation proprietary Sound Castle diaphragm clamping system for improved reliability, while a standard 1.38” (35mm) screw fitting provides maximum compatibility with a range of Celestion and third party horn flares.
