Global music streaming platform TIDAL unveiled an optimized experience for new subscribers. Immediately upon creating an account, members will be asked to identify their favorite artists across different genres for a personalized experience. Once setup is complete, the platform’s home screen will recommend content based on those selections, including a new “Welcome Mix” which features music from the selected artists and inspires new music discovery.

After successfully launching its Mighty range of streaming music players with Spotify support, California-based Mighty Audio now announced the launch of Amazon Music as an additional option.

Spotify, the market leader in online music streaming, had a 32% year-on-year growth in paid subscriptions during 1H 2019. Apple and YouTube Music are very aggressive and are going to disrupt the regionally segmented market.

When Amazon recently announced its latest Echo Studio smart speaker, focusing on audio quality and promising an "immersive" and "3D Audio" experience, the partnership with Dolby Laboratories was highlighted. The same day, Dolby confirmed that its Dolby Atmos Music format will be supported directly on the Echo Studio with content in the new object-based format being streamed through Amazon Music HD.
