Man Machine Interfaces: An Interview with Nikolaj Hviid, Bragi Founder and CEO

Munich-based Bragi is known for making truly wireless earphones, which are in fact the first truly smart hearables. Its first product, The Dash, won the CES 2015 Innovation Award Best of Innovation in the Headphones product category. When the idea of truly wireless stereo earbuds was still an idea, Bragi was working hard to enter the space, but their vision was going much further: truly wearables. As Nikolaj Hviid, Founder and CEO, Bragi GmbH puts it, "The purpose of wearables is to increase the data rate from the human to the machine."

Bragi announced Project Ears, a special collaboration with Mimi Hearing Technologies to develop sound amplification and hearing enhancement solutions. Project Ears is already in development and will focus on Personal Sound Amplification Systems (PSAP), and will examine the possibilities of hearing enhancement in a multitude of different settings including the home, office, jobsite and even outdoor sport environments.

beyerdynamic announced a new era for headphones at IFA 2017. Developed in cooperation with German company Mimi Hearing Technologies, beyerdynamic debuted its Aventho wireless headphone model, making individual sound personalization via app possible and effective. The audio specialist says this is a new era for completely customized listening. The debut of the new, high-end Aventho wireless at IFA 2017 is also a benchmark in high-quality Bluetooth headphones.
